Oh how 2020 has changed the world of social gatherings, including weddings for couples all over the world! Nevertheless, love always wins and a celebration can never be too small. This couple decided to embrace the new "Micro Wedding" trend and with the help of many amazing planners and vendors, they created an absolutely beautiful wedding day.
Stella Day Events, did a stunning job executing every detail for this outdoor wedding. The cohesion and richness between the outdoor garden aesthetic with a touch of elegance and romance in the table-scape and flatware was downright gorgeous!
The ceremony space was set back in a lush, open field with a greenery and floral enriched arch behind the alter. Carrie Wilcox Floral Design created amazing textures and colors for both the ceremony space and the reception tables.
Working with a soft blue, white and blush color palette, Carrie and bride Elara created florals that worked with the beautiful outdoor tented event. They stylized the gorgeous lounge area from Gather and Lounge, by placing one of their signature loose, asymmetrical arrangements in a mercury gold compote vase.
Then they scattered in "mini" bouquets in vintage bud vases and colored wax candles. Seasonal florals for the event included blush dahlias & garden roses, soft blue tweedia & delphinium and lots of herbs and greenery. To personalize the florals even more, they incorporated mini daisies and chamomile - the "official" flower of Denmark where the couple currently lives. Simple personalized touches like these truly elevate an event and make the ambiance that much more intimate and special.
Kate Kelly Design worked with the bride who had a great idea to do custom paintings of each guest's "spirit animal" on the place cards. The true beauty of a micro wedding is the level of detail and customization one can really do! Elera and Kate Kelly Design chose to make the place cards large enough so that they could be taken home as a keepsake. The idea for the wedding was family style serving, gorgeous antique looking dishes, long wood tables and beautiful flowers in blues and greens with touches of pinks.
Brooke Allison did a perfect job capturing every moment and detail of this pandemic micro-wedding - from the couple's portraits, ceremony moments and the beautiful reception design. We only wish we had been in attendance! Elera and the groom truly make lemonade out of lemons when they orchestrated this beauty alongside a team of dedicated and hardworking vendors to prove that nothing can stop love - not even a global pandemic.
