Katerina and Brian met at St. Lawrence University where they became college sweethearts. Brian finally popped the question after seven years of dating at the Country Club of Fairfield which turned out to be the location of their charming October wedding.
The club has been in Katerina's family for years and was actually where her parents also got married so it seemed like the perfect fit! As for the church ceremony, it was at Greenfield Hill Church where her grandparents were married on that same weekend sixty two years ago creating an even sweeter occasion!
When it came to the reception, both the bride and groom wanted it to feel like a destination wedding at home. The rosy/light pink color of the flowers by KD&J Botanica, the bridesmaid dresses and table decor felt like a romantic pairing with rustic tables and canopy lanterns.
The usage of greenery over the dance floor as well as hanging lanterns brought a vintage side to the event and the entire tent. Creating a floating centerpiece, was a great way to bring the decor from the tables to the entire tent and drawing guests eyes around the whole space.
The choice of pinkish roses, dahlias, tall greenery centerpieces and variations of candle heights brought subtle dimension and lighting to the reception tables.
Ashley Douglass Events did an incredible job at turning this couples wedding day into one that they will never forget!
