Katerina and Brian met at St. Lawrence University where they became college sweethearts. Brian finally popped the question after seven years of dating at the Country Club of Fairfield which turned out to be the location of their charming October wedding.
The club has been in Katerinas family for years with her parents also getting married their and it just seemed perfect! As for the church ceremony at Greenfield Hill Church they had a sweet and sentimental ceremony. Her grandparents were married on that same weekend sixty two years ago creating an even sweeter occasion.
When it came to the reception, both the bride and groom wanted it to feel like a destination wedding at home. The rosy/light pink color of the florals by KD&J Botanica, bridesmaid dresses and table decor felt romantic while pairing perfectly with the rustic tables and canopy lanterns.
The usage of greenery over the dance floor as well as hanging lanterns brought a vintage side to the event and the entire tent. Creating a floating centerpiece, was a great way to bring the decor from the tables to the entire tent itself creating an ambiance.
The choice of pinkish roses, dahlias and tall greenery centerpieces along with the variation of candle heights brings subtle dimension to the reception tables always giving the guests something to look at!
Ashley Douglass Events did an incredible job at turning this couples wedding day into one that they will never forget!
