A family affair was exactly what this bride and groom wanted and having it at her family's home in Madison, Connecticut made it all the more special. The ceremony was a traditional church service, followed by a tented reception in the backyard. The bride even adorned her grandmother's classic 1949 wedding dress incorporating all the generations in the celebration. It was such a sentimental touch. (Also proves that you don't have to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding dress to turn heads and make your guests gasp!)
The reception space was absolutely stunning thanks to the creativity and execution of Ashley Douglass Events. Paired with the florals done by Fleurs Florals the tent was the perfect backdrop for celebrating saying I Do. Going with shades of pink and cream added a touch of color and set the stage for a dreamy and romantic evening.
The decor was clean and neutral falling within the color palette of light pinks and creams. The use of greenery accenting the center poles provided a natural focal point as well as adding mini trees to seated tables. They truly created a posh rose garden under our Sperry tent! To add a little glam to the evening, sparkly chandeliers were the ideal choice to add a touch of party and glam to the celebratory atmosphere!
