There was just so much love for Alexa and Jon at their wedding in Mount Kisco, NY. And Alexa's statement reflecting back on their wonderful day encapsulates exactly how I felt browsing these images - "The whole wedding managed to feel at once like the greatest, most important party we had ever been to and just another summer barbecue with our family and best friends." From beginning to end - their wedding focused on sentimental detailing. Starting with the escort cards which were rocks collected by Alexa and Jon from beaches on Block Island where Jon proposed.
The florals were arranged by Glorimundi, but the pink and white peonies came from Alexa's father's garden. Anyone who has worked with peonies knows how difficult it is to keep those beauties from fading which is why I'm amazed that Alexa's mother hand picked the flowers a month prior, wrapping them newspaper and storing in a refrigerator until a week before the wedding to be arranged. MOB and FOB of the year awards clearly go to Alexa's parents.
But my absolute favorite part of this entire wedding was where the couple said their vows. Alexa and Jon said "I Do" in a tiny chapel the bride's grandfather built for his wife in the woods behind the family home. Could anything be sweeter? Even their dear friend officiated the wedding!
We hope you enjoy all the little details this beautiful couple made sure to include in their wedding day as much we did!
